Renowned music executive, Don Jazzy, recently expressed his immense pride in the Afrobeat superstar, Davido Adeleke, after the latter referred to him as his mentor during an interview. Davido opened up about his early music career, industry growth, and his initial encounter with Don Baba J in a conversation with YouTuber Tayo Aina.
The interview shed light on Davido’s extraordinary experience upon meeting Don Jazzy for the first time, comparing it to encountering Jesus. The singer, who recently acquired a limited edition Mercedes-Maybach car, described the event with great enthusiasm. He acknowledged Don Jazzy as his mentor and confessed that it took great courage to stand in the presence of such a prominent figure during their initial meeting.
Don Jazzy, in response to the interview, couldn’t contain his excitement over Davido’s accomplishments. He expressed his admiration for Davido’s work ethic, which continues to motivate him despite the artist’s remarkable success and wealth. Don Jazzy also emphasized his commitment to not letting down Davido, particularly considering the pedestal on which he placed him as his mentee.
