Nigerian rapper YCee has urged the government to prohibit the use of point-of-sale (POS) terminals after revealing how he lost N2 million.
The rapper used Snapchat to tell how he lost more than N2 million in 2024. YCee asserts that his bank account experienced a loss of N2.7 million in November 2024. He revealed that the illicit withdrawals were done with his ATM card, with a total of N2.7 million stolen across three transactions.
YCee claimed that first N1 million was taken from his account, then another N1 million was stolen, and finally N700. He eventually realized that the money was stolen using a POS machine rather than his ATM card, as he had previously assumed.
