After a young woman allegedly chose to test the validity of her friend’s engagement ring during the momentous occasion, a proposal took a dramatic turn.
After being published on X (previously Twitter) by user @MrAnuoluwapo, the incident became viral on social media and sparked a range of responses.
Mr. Anu claims that the diamond-testing friend jumped in to confirm the genuineness during the romantic moment, immediately following the friend’s decision to wed her boyfriend.
Describe the strange situation.
@MrAnuoluwapo wrote:
“Someone proposed to his girlfriend, and one of her silly friends brought out a diamond tester from her bag to check the ring. Bruhhh, I don’t know if it’s lack of emotional intelligence or just plain stupidity! That’s the weirdest thing I’ve seen in recent time.”
The post claims that the diamond passed the test.
@MrAnuoluwapo, however, voiced his disapproval of the gesture, stating, “Yeah, at least from the tester.” What if it wasn’t, though? That is my problem.
Since then, the post has sparked a flood of responses from people who denounced the buddy for destroying the occasion in an effort to make the man look bad.
According to @bibzyCarter, a social media user,
“Are you for real? Isn’t the ring supposed to signify a bond rather than the material itself. Are people okay?”
Another user @Freshxiick added, “Bro I would be so embarrassed mehn, and tbh I wouldn’t even know how to react. But one thing is certain, that her friend don de my black book forever.”
