The well-known TikToker Jarvis has clarified rumors that she was engaged after fellow creator Peller gave her a ring in public.
As you may remember, Peller had a memorable moment with his fiancée when he proposed to her on one knee before leaving for the UK. Jarvis clarified in a recent live TikTok session that the ring was a symbolic commitment rather than an engagement ring.
The explanation follows rumors of an upcoming wedding that swiftly spread on social media due to Peller’s public gesture. Jarvis’ explanation contradicts the fans’ conjectures that the couple may be getting married soon.
She said that it was only a commitment made by the two of them to maintain their relationship when he returned to Nigeria.
“It’s a promise ring. It’s not the same thing,” Jarvis clarified.
“For engagement rings, you are supposed to get married in two or three weeks. Time never reach. This is a promise ring. It is a ring of ‘My love, I am travelling to another country, wait for me,’” she added.
Jarvis has asked people to respect their timetable and intentions, even though the couple’s relationship is still in the public eye.
