Ahmed Ololade, better known by his stage name Asake, is a Nigerian singer who has been nominated for a 2025 Brit Award in the Best International Act category.

This honor comes after Asake’s incredible 2024, in which he released his highly regarded third album, Lungu Boy.

Collaborations on the album with Wizkid, Stormzy, Central Cee, and Ludmila cemented his status as one of Nigeria’s most prolific music exporters.

With a global fan base because to his catchy beats and thought-provoking lyrics, Asake’s nomination marks a major turning point in both his career and the African music landscape.

Asake was nominated for the same Brit Awards category in 2024, making this his second time.
Fans and industry watchers alike are eager to see if Asake can win the coveted award, further solidifying Nigeria’s influence on the international music stage.

As the only Nigerian artist nominated for the 2025 awards, he faces fierce competition in the category, competing against global heavyweights like Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, and Benson Boone.

The Brit Awards ceremony, hosted by Jack Whitehall, is scheduled for March 1, 2025, at the iconic O2 Arena in London.
