Nigerian comedian DeeOne has stirred fresh controversy by alleging that social media critic VeryDarkMan was the architect of the arrest of singer Terry Apala.
Earlier reports alleged that Terry Apala was remanded over allegations of Naira mutilation, but official confirmation is still awaited. Both public figures have traded insults after Terry Apala issued a 48-hour ultimatum demanding that VeryDarkMan pull down a defamatory video against him.
Unexpectedly, VeryDarkMan claims that those charges were filed by the EFCC against both Terry Apala and DJ Tunez, who is a close ally of Wizkid. Still, they were purportedly released after paying settlement dollars.
But in a newly uploaded video, DeeOne claimed that VeryDarkMan paid ₦5 million to get Terry Apala arrested simply because he was not satisfied with the letter Terry wrote to him.
“You paid ₦5M to get him arrested because you didn’t like the letter he wrote. Then you came online to act like it’s karma,” said DeeOne.
He also charged VeryDarkMan for manipulating Instagram likes and boldly predicted that his popularity would die by the end of 2025.
The development still generates numerous comments over online. The fans still wait for subsequent developments.
