Critic VeryDarkMan has responded to a court-issued arrest warrant following allegations of defamation against renowned gospel singer Mercy Chinwo.
The Abuja Chief Magistrate Court recently ordered his arrest, despite the fact that VeryDarkMan is currently in China for a youth empowerment initiative.

Reacting to the arrest warrant in a new Instagram post, the outspoken critic alleged judicial conspiracy, claiming that the prosecutor handling his case had six other cases in the same magistrate court on the day his warrant was issued.
Additionally, VeryDarkMan revealed that another court has issued an injunction against him, which also involves Mercy Chinwo and her former record label boss, Eezee Tee.
According to him, the case’s sudden transfer from Lagos to Ilorin raises questions, as he believes it was influenced by people in power to suppress him. He also accused the prosecutor and the presiding judge of having close personal ties to Mercy Chinwo and her husband, Blessed.

Despite the legal battle, VeryDarkMan remains defiant, vowing to expose what he describes as corrupt practices within the judiciary.
“I’m standing against oppression. Even if I come to Nigeria and I’m detained, it doesn’t mean there is no truth in what I’m saying,” he stated.
The critic further emphasized that he is not intimidated by the arrest warrant, maintaining that he will continue to speak out against injustice.
