To get ready for the 144-hour Guinness World Record cooking marathon that will start on April 21, 2025, renowned Nigerian chef Omar has started a 96-hour pre-attempt cookathon in Port Harcourt.
The pre-attempt, which began Thursday in Port Harcourt’s Ediz Wine Bar, is a practice run to gauge her stamina and hone her tactics before the main event.
With the extra benefit of free food for everyone in attendance, supporters and foodies are invited to come to the location and support her.
In order to provide fans with a taste of the grueling process, Chef Omar has been posting frequent updates and behind-the-scenes videos from the cookathon on her social media sites.
Nigerians and well-wishers flocked to her postings’ comment sections as word of her pre-attempt became viral, praising her tenacity and offering their support.
