The Ogun State Police Command in Abeokuta has reported the self arrest of Portable, a Nigerian singer that has stirred controversy. Portable is currently in the custody of police.
He did this within a few hours of attending the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department SCID, where he appeared to be attempting to exonerate himself. Nevertheless, the police from Ogun State had continued to assert that he was still at large in relation to an attack that he allegedly orchestrated on some officials of the Ogun State Town Planning Agency during the enforcement exercise at his Ilogbo property.
To shed some light on the topic, spokesperson for the Ogun state police, Omolola Odutola, made the following statement. “The Ogun State Police Command would like to inform the public that Habeeb Okikiola, verifiably known as Portable, came to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Eleweran, Abeokuta at 13:23 hours today, February 19, 2025. He is an ongoing witness in the case. The Command Public Relations Officer would like to assure the general public that all procedures will be observed while dealing with the case and all relevant communications will be made.”
He was placed on the wanted list on account of a violent face-off with the three town planning officials –TPL Onabanjo Abidemi, TPL Raymond Lateef ,and TPL Ridwan Oyero Akinlesi- who were performing their official responsibilities in Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota, Ogun State. In the interaction
