The civil case filed by a woman who claimed that hip-hop artists Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs had sexually assaulted her when she was 13 has been dropped.
Court documents show she dismissed the claim on Friday.
“The document filed with the US District Court for the Southern District of New York claims the accuser “hereby gives notice that the above-captioned action is voluntarily dismissed, with prejudice” — meaning the suit cannot be refiled,” the document read.
In December, Shawn Carter, better known by his stage as Jay Z, was charged of raping the girl with Combs during a party after the MTV Video Music Awards in September 2000.
It was unclear at first whether the celebs and the unnamed woman had come to an agreement.
However, Jay-Z, a 55-year-old billionaire, praised the case’s conclusion, calling it “frivolous, fictitious, and appalling.”
“This civil suit was without merit and never going anywhere. The fictional tale they created was laughable, if not for the seriousness of the claims,” he said in a statement.
