In light of the present issue involving well-known gospel singer Mercy Chinwo, Nigerian music mogul Eezee Tee speaks out, highlighting the need for openness.
Notably, despite a widely reported incident involving contract disagreements and accusations of financial malfeasance, Eezee Tee and Mercy Chinwo have recently made news.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) detained Eezee Tee for nine days throughout the scandal. EeZee Tee told the media following his release that he was forced to give Mercy Chinwo $274,000 or risk being held in custody indefinitely.
He emphasized the need for openness by pointing out that Mercy Chinwo still owes a third album and a few singles to her previous record label.
In addition, he said that the singer had engaged in financial impropriety and that the call for transparency appeared to be biased.
” I was forced to transfer $274,000 to Mercy Chinwo. Why am I transferring money to her when she’s not giving back what she owes”, He stated.
