The 2025 Grammy Awards saw Tems, a well-known singer, win Best African Music Performance, making her a two-time Grammy winner.
With her single “Love Me JeJe,” Tems won her second Grammy, defeating Burna Boy, Chris Brown, Davo, Asake, Wizkid, and Yemi Alade.
This accomplishment follows Tyla from South Africa winning the award for her song “Water” in the category’s first year in 2024.
At this year’s Grammys, Tems received three nominations, bringing her career total to eight.
Also, she was nominated for Best Global Music Album (Born in the Wild) and Best R&B Song (Burning).
