After sustaining serious face burns from a chemical peeling process used by a beauty vendor to cure her acne, a young Nigerian woman has expressed her distress.
Through the divisive critic Verydarkman, who has subsequently threatened to take action against the accountable merchant, she recounted her experience.
When the sufferer first went to a friend for skincare assistance, the friend introduced her to the chemical peeling process.
She was told to come back for another session after the first one, which entailed a 30% concentration of the chemical, showed no improvement.
The merchant raised the dose to 80% this time, which finally resulted in her face being severely burned. She described her experience as follows:
“The girl is actually my friend. I had only a little breakout on my face, and she said I should come for chemical peeling. I went there, and after the first session, she said she used 30%, but I still had breakouts.
“She then asked me to come for another session, during which she performed microneedling and another chemical peel.
The moment she applied the product on my face, it began to burn intensely. I was screaming and shouting, telling her how much it was burning, but she said it was normal.
After I sent her a video of my condition, she read my message and ignored it for two days.”
The victim also disclosed that when the vendor did respond, she minimized the issue and even brought up a prior customer whose nose had been impacted by a similar procedure, implying that cosmetics might be applied to hide the harm.
Verydarkman responded to the case by promising to bring it to the attention of the proper authorities in order to prevent other people from being victims of the untrained skin therapist.
