Sunday Omisakin, a Nigerian man pardoned by Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, has been remanded at the Ilesa Correctional Facility for reportedly breaking into a residence and stealing a TV worth ₦600,000, just 8 days after being pardoned for stealing chicken. Omisakin, who was ranked eighth on the governor’s prerogative of mercy list signed on December 26, 2024, was pardoned for a minor misdemeanor. However, on January 3, 2025, he was arrested for reportedly breaking into a home in Osogbo and taking the television.

The defendant was charged with burglary and theft in the Osun State Magistrate Court in Osogbo, presided over by Magistrate Adekanmi Adeyeba. Omisakin has been remanded for additional court proceedings.
