“After you have said it’s a voluntary contribution” – Man laments after he was banned from officiating when he did not donate money for His Pastor’s birthday

A man has been depressingly public on social media, telling stories of how he was prohibited from performing at church because he neglected to provide money for their pastor’s birthday.

The individual known on X as @Ayibatonye01 turned to the microblogging site to talk about his experience.

The man said that their pastor was asked to give money for his birthday celebration, but he chose not to.

He was consequently barred from leading Sunday services and faced additional penalties.

He regretted having been informed that the donation was allegedly made voluntarily. His remarks were as follows:

“Because I didn’t send money for papa’s birthday I am banned from officiating this Sunday & more punishment might be meted, after you have said it’s a voluntary contribution.

You aren’t even minding the financial capacity of some, others have sent but me I will not send…….”
