Michael Jackson’s brother, Tito Jackson, was a founding member of the illustrious Jackson 5 and a well-loved musician who passed away at the age of 70.
On Sunday, September 16, 2024, his children made the tragic announcement, devastating fans and family.
Tito’s official cause of death has not yet been confirmed by the Jackson family; however, reports indicate that he suffered a heart attack.
His three children, Taj, Taryll, and TJ, who continue his musical legacy with their trio, 3T, and his grandchildren survive him. Delores Martes, his ex-wife, died in 1994.
“It’s with heavy hearts that we announce our beloved father, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson, is no longer with us. We are shocked, saddened, and heartbroken. Our father was an incredible man who cared deeply about everyone and their well-being,” his children TJ, Taj, and Taryll stated in an Instagram post.
Tito’s death marks a sombre moment for fans and the music world, following the earlier losses of his brother Michael in 2009 and their father, Joe Jackson, in 2018.
