For additional filming scenes, director Kunle Afolayan and his team have come to Accra, Ghana, in anticipation of the second season of the Netflix series Anikulapo.
Veteran director Tunde Kelani announced the crew’s arrival on Facebook and Instagram on Sunday, the day the filming of the film began. It said:
“Arriving Accra’s Kotoka International Airport this morning with the Team of Anikulapo the Series,”
On Wednesday, September 11, Kunle Afolayan concluded up filming the Nigerian scenes for Anikulapo Season 2 at the KAP Film Village in Igbojaye. Aisha Lawal, Bimbo Ademoye, Ronke Oshodi Oke, Owobo Ogunde, Lateef Adedimeji, Moji Afolayan, Eyiyemi Afolayan, Oyindamola Sanni, Taiwo Hassan (Ogogo), and Sola Sobowale are among the actors returning from Season 1. Antar Laniyan, Saga Adeolu, and Saidi Balogun are among the fresh faces entering the series.
Kunle Afolayan Production and the National Film Authority worked together to support the Shoot in Ghana initiative by casting a few Ghanaian performers in the second season of the show.
