As a way of showing how much he admires Wizkid, Nigerian singer Slimcase recreated the legendary music video for “Essence,” creating quite a stir.
Slimcase posted a video of himself imitating Wizkid on his Instagram profile, tagging the singer’s smash song “Essence” from his fourth studio album, Made in Lagos, as one of the artist’s greatest hits.
He went on to mention other accolades the song won, such as the 64th Grammy Awards for Best Global Music Performance.
He wrote: “Essence is one of the biggest project from BigWiz fourth studio album Made in Lagos Music video released April 9 2021 🎥 in Accra,Ghana The very first sound in history to chart on the billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard Global200 this song received a nomination at the 64th annual Grammy awards for best global music performance and its a classic song even up till this day Big up BigWiz the world await MORAYO 💿😎❤️🦅”
Taking to his Instagram story, Slimcase reposted the “Joro” crooner’s post with the caption: “Love you ❤️🦅”
