Nigerian actress Beverly Naya, who was born in Britain, has talked about how some blog posts about her almost made her give up performing.
She said that false allegations made against her on a blog had nearly ended her acting career.
She stated that the post had a negative impact on her self-esteem and made her question if it was beneficial for her to pursue her acting career.
In a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, the actress said that negative information about her was consistently posted on the blog
The actress, 34, went on to say that because she had been bullied in the past, it felt like a personal attack.
She asked why she was the target of criticism on the site every time.
Part of what Beverly Naya said was, “It really got to me and it damaged my self-esteem and made me doubt myself, to the point where I wanted to quit several times and really didn’t feel like I wanted to continue in this industry.”
