Manchester United’s 10-Year Premier League Record Broken by Manchester City’s Comeback Win

With their 3-1 loss to rivals Manchester City on Sunday, Manchester United’s illustrious 10-year Premier League record came to an end.
United have not lost a Premier League game when leading at the half prior to the derby match.

Marcus Rashford’s spectacular long-range goal had given United the lead, but goals from Phil Foden and Erling Haaland gave the home team a comeback.

Even before the manager joined the team in 2014, United had not lost a game when leading at the half under Erik ten Hag’s direction.
But just as everything has an end, this remarkable run came to an end with City’s comeback.

Many United supporters were devastated by the outcome, as the squad found it difficult to hold onto their first-half lead for the duration of the match.

Along with breaking United’s record, City midfielder Rodri achieved a new benchmark with an undefeated run of 59 games for Pep Guardiola’s team, surpassing Chelsea great Ricardo Carvalho.

Rodri has only missed three Premier League games this season, all of which City lost, demonstrating his consistency, which has been a major contributor to City’s success.
